From agreement to delivery

LESSON 1 OF 6

Turn a won deal into a project

Carry the client relationship into a reviewed delivery project.

Overview

When a client agrees to proceed, connect the agreement to the delivery work. The deal preserves the opportunity and scope, while the project organizes the job.

Marking a deal won offers a handoff. Your review and confirmation create the project.

Before you start

Choose a deal with an agreed scope, linked company, and no linked project.

1Review the agreement

Open the deal and check the company, people, and agreed scope before changing its stage.

2Mark the deal won

Use the board or inline stage control to move the deal to Won when the client has agreed to proceed.

3Review the project handoff

Choose Start a project and check the proposed name, company, deal, and delivery team. If you changed the stage in the deal form or dismissed the prompt, reopen the deal and use its project action.

4Create and check the work

Create the project when the handoff is correct, then add its first concrete issue with an owner. Return to the company’s Projects tab to verify the link.

Put it into practice

The won opportunity is connected to a reviewed delivery project, with an assigned first step.
