LESSON 2 OF 7

Return to your work with Focus

Resume an assigned issue with enough context to continue.

Overview

Focus is a starting point for issues assigned to you. It helps you return to an active task with the context you need before making the next change.

Continue helps you pick work back up. Needs attention surfaces assigned issues that are urgent or have been untouched for thirty days. Recently touched provides a chronological path back to records you have worked on.

Before you start

Choose a team with an active issue assigned to you. A description and a recent comment will help you practice reviewing the context.

1Open Focus

Check the selected team, then open Focus. The work shown here depends on the issues assigned to the signed-in person.

2Review Continue

Choose an active issue you want to resume. Read its context brief to understand where you left off.

3Check what needs attention

Review Needs attention and Recently touched. The Inbox section contains assigned captures that still need a decision.

4Read before updating

Open the issue and review its description and recent discussion. Record the next decision or change the status only after you understand what has already happened.

Put it into practice

You have found the right assigned issue and recovered enough context to continue. If an expected issue is missing, check its assignee and your selected team.
