LESSON 7 OF 7
Import client records from CSV
Review mapped records and possible duplicates before committing an import.
Overview
CSV import brings existing client records into Scoped. Mapping and previewing let you check how the source data will be saved before committing an import.
A possible-duplicate warning is a reason to review a row. Use the existing relationship where appropriate instead of adding another copy.
Before you start
Prepare a small CSV with the client records you want to import. Review the source data before you upload it.
1Open the import
Open Import CSV from Follow-ups. Choose the record type and upload a file or paste the CSV.
2Map the columns
Match each column to the field it contains. For people, this might include name, email, and phone. Choose Preview import.
3Review the selected rows
Check warnings and possible duplicates. Deselect unwanted rows or correct the source file and build the preview again.
4Import and verify
When the preview matches your intended result, import the selected rows. Open the relevant list and check a few records and their relationships.
Put it into practice
The intended rows are imported, and their saved details and relationships have been checked.
