LESSON 1 OF 5
Set up teams and workflows
Understand how teams, statuses, labels, and members shape the work views.
Overview
Teams organize where work belongs. Statuses explain how an issue moves through the workflow, and labels add ways to describe and filter it.
A status has a visible name and a category. The category tells Scoped whether work is in triage, planned, started, completed, or canceled. For example, Inbox relies on the triage category.
Before you start
Sign in as a workspace owner or admin to review team settings and membership.
1Review the team
Open Teams in Settings and inspect the team’s name and identifying key.
2Check status meanings
Open Statuses and review the visible names and categories. Make sure the team understands what each stage means.
3Review labels
Open Labels and inspect an example on an issue. Use labels for useful distinctions such as Site visit or Materials.
4Review members and daily use
Open Members to review roles or invite people with their own accounts. Return to the team’s Issues view to check how the settings appear in everyday work.
Put it into practice
The team has a workflow people can use consistently. Team selection organizes work; it should not be treated as a separate access boundary.
