LESSON 3 OF 7
Save useful client context
Keep an agreement or observation linked to the records it concerns.
Overview
Use a note for information you want to find again: observations from a walkthrough, decisions made on a call, or an agreement that affects the work.
A note preserves context. If it contains something someone must do, give that action an issue or a client follow-up with an owner.
Before you start
Choose the conversation or observation to record and identify the company, project, or deal it concerns.
1Create a recognizable note
Give the note a descriptive name, such as Studio walkthrough, so it is easy to find later.
2Record the useful details
Write down the decisions and constraints. For example, include the agreed colors and the time the crew can enter the building.
3Link the context to the work
Use the note’s linking controls to connect it to the company and relevant project or deal.
4Make it easy to return
Favorite a note you use frequently, then locate it from Notes or a linked record. Create an assigned issue or follow-up for any next action.
Put it into practice
The context is saved where it is useful, and any action is tracked separately with someone responsible.
