LESSON 7 OF 7

Find and restore a record

Find work with search and recover an archived record.

Overview

Quick search helps when you remember the work but not where it lives. A recognizable name or phrase can take you back to the relevant record.

A record missing from a view may still exist in another workspace, behind a filter, or in Archive. Check those possibilities before creating another copy.

Before you start

Choose a record to find. To practice restoration, identify an archived record that should return to normal working views.

1Open quick search

Press Command K on a Mac or Control K on Windows. Search for a recognizable name or phrase.

2Open the result

Choose the intended record and review its details to confirm you found the right one.

3Check the viewing context

If the record is missing, check the active workspace and any team or page filters.

4Review Archive

Open Archive and find the record. Restore it when appropriate, then return to its usual location or linked company to confirm it is available again.

Put it into practice

You have found or restored the existing record and can use its description, discussion, and activity to continue.
