Quotes, invoices, and closeout

LESSON 4 OF 5

Start a project from an accepted quote

Connect acceptance, the won deal, invoice, and reviewed project kickoff.

Overview

The accepted-quote workflow connects the client agreement to a reviewed delivery kickoff. An accepted quote linked to an open deal has a linked invoice, and the deal moves to the workspace’s won stage.

Acceptance records the agreement. Start work is the reviewed action that starts or links the project; acceptance alone does not create it.

Before you start

You need an enabled invoicing workspace with the accepted-quote kickoff workflow available. Choose an accepted quote linked to a deal and review its invoice and any existing delivery project.

1Review acceptance and invoice

Open the accepted quote and its linked invoice. Check the recorded agreement and payment state.

2Check the deal stage

Review the deal linked to the quote. A previously open deal moves to the won stage in this workflow. A deal already marked Lost needs a human stage decision.

3Review Start work

Choose Start work and check scope, client, owner, team, start date, kickoff tasks, and deposit state. An unpaid deposit remains visible so you can decide whether work should begin. Review any offered existing-project or new-project choice.

4Confirm and check the project

Confirm the handoff and open Billing on the project to check its quote and invoice links. Pipeline health’s Accepted, no project view helps find eligible accepted work still awaiting kickoff.

Put it into practice

The agreement, deal, invoice, and reviewed delivery project are connected, with any deposit decision made explicitly.
