Build client relationships

LESSON 1 OF 7

Keep client history with a company

Use a company page to find the people, opportunities, and jobs connected to a client.

Overview

A company record brings a client relationship together. It connects the people involved, opportunities under discussion, delivery projects, and notes from conversations or decisions.

Before a client call, the company page helps you review who you are speaking to, what has been discussed, and which jobs are underway.

Before you start

Choose a company with a contact, deal, project, or note linked to it.

1Open the company

Open Companies and select the client. Review its details and Overview to confirm you have the right relationship.

2Find the people and opportunities

Visit Contacts and Deals. Open an individual record when you need to update a person’s details or an opportunity.

3Review delivery and context

Visit Projects and Notes for the jobs and recorded decisions connected to the company.

4Check the history and links

Open Activity to review changes. If a record is missing, check that it is linked to this company and included by the current filters.

Put it into practice

The company page gives you a connected view of the relationship because its underlying records are linked accurately.
