LESSON 2 OF 6
Start work with a kickoff template
Create a linked project and a reusable starting set of tasks.
Overview
A kickoff template gives recurring kinds of jobs a reusable starting plan. It can include tasks such as confirming scope, scheduling a site visit, and preparing the delivery plan.
Owners and admins can create reusable templates in the kickoff area. Keep them focused on tasks you actually need and revise them when your process changes.
Before you start
Choose a won deal with agreed scope and an available kickoff template.
1Open Review kickoff
Open the won deal or its entry in Follow-ups and choose Review kickoff.
2Choose the starting plan
Select a template, delivery team, and start date. Check the customer when more than one contact is linked to the deal.
3Review scope and dates
Review the agreed scope and previewed tasks. Their due dates are offsets from the selected start date; check them against the actual job commitments.
4Create and review the result
Choose Create project and tasks. Check the company and deal links, then review generated issues for ownership and job-specific details.
Put it into practice
The job has a linked project and a reviewed set of starting tasks that can be adjusted for this client.
