LESSON 4 OF 5
Verify an assistant’s update
Ask for a specific change using names and verify exactly what was saved.
Overview
Ask a connected assistant for a specific change using the record and person names you use every day. First confirm that it has found the intended record.
In the newer update workflow, a successful write returns a receipt describing what Scoped saved, with a link to the record. The receipt and saved fields provide evidence of the result.
Before you start
Connect an available assistant with permission to make the intended change. This lesson requires the newer write-receipt and name-resolution workflow.
1Find the intended record
Ask the assistant to find a specific issue within its named project. Check the result before requesting a change.
2Request an explicit update
Name the intended assignee and give an explicit calendar due date. If more than one job or person matches, clarify the choice before making the change.
3Read the returned receipt
Review the actual write receipt for the fields Scoped saved, then open its record link.
4Verify the saved state
Check the assignee and due date in Scoped. Use the saved record to confirm the result rather than relying only on a conversational acknowledgment. For invoicing, an assistant can prepare a permitted draft while a person reviews and sends it.
Put it into practice
You have checked both the requested change and the state actually saved in Scoped. Voice input, when available, is a capability of your assistant provider.
