Where records live
Scoped Cloud keeps workspace records in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United States (Northern Virginia), with encrypted database storage and automated backups kept for 14 days. The privacy policy lists the safeguards and providers in full.

Export
Export your Scoped records whenever you want them, with documented boundaries, and verify a restore before you rely on a backup. The export guide describes what an export contains and what it leaves out.
Bring your data
Moving over from another project tool? Scoped imports supported fields from a supported CSV export and tells you what was left out. Comments, attachments, relationships, and activity that are not in the file are not reconstructed. The Help Center walks through each step.
What an MCP connection reaches
- A client calls Scoped’s application interface with an OAuth token. It never receives a PostgreSQL connection string or direct database access.
- Each grant is bound to the one workspace selected during authorization and to the permissions approved there.
- Scoped checks the grant, the person’s membership, the workspace, and the scope again on every request.
- Revoking a grant stops future access, including refresh. It does not erase activity Scoped already accepted.

Your own database
Scoped Connect is free, with unlimited records and connected agents, because you run the storage. The standalone desktop app is coming soon. Existing installations that connect to an external PostgreSQL database remain supported; the external database requirements list what that setup needs.
Archive and deletion
Finished clients and jobs are archived rather than deleted, so the history is there when a customer calls back. Archived records do not count toward the Free plan’s active-record allowance. Deleting information, and how long copies remain in backups, is covered in the privacy policy.
